my hit list: au naturel

This week’s inspiration is all about natural living.  Here’s my hit list for doing just that:

1 ModelCo’s Instant Miracle Booster – this stuff is amazing.  It’s from ModelCo’s natural skincare range and it does wonders for my skin.  It’s free from chemicals, synthetic ingredients, parabens, sulfates, silicones, PEGs and synthetic colours.  I’ve noticed there’s less redness in my skin, it appears to be less congested and has a healthier, more energised glow about it – a welcome change for a mother of a 3 month old.  I’ve even been using it on the fiance.

2 Loni Jane’s Feel the Lean eBook – I love Loni!  I’ve been following her for quite a while on Instagram – I just love her photography.  This book is so inspirational when you need a good kick-in-the-butt reminder to live healthily.  She lives a plant-based lifestyle but even if you don’t plan on following suit, her photos, recipes and handy suggestions can be incorporated into anyone’s life.

3 Coconut Oil – You all know about my love for coconut oil.  I buy it in huge jars from Costco.  I keep one in the kitchen and one in the bathroom and we use it for everything.  In the kitchen, we use it to cook with (obviously) but we also put it in our coffees along with coconut sugar and cinnamon – it’s so tasty.  In the bathroom, we use it for just about anything you can imagine – facial cleanser, facial and body moisturiser, hair masks, on stretch marks/to prevent stretch marks, mixed with dry clay as a facial mask, nipple balm (have you read the possible side effects of lanolin?!), nappy cream (do you know how bad some of those creams are for bub?!), eye cream, lube (do you know how bad KY is for you?!) – the list is endless.

4 Bodecare’s Spa Headband – a bathroom necessity for me.  I hate my hair getting in the way when I’m doing my facial cleansing routine or putting makeup on.  I prefer to use this over a regular headband because it doesn’t leave that kink in your hair.

5 Wotnot’s facial wipes – I’ve never believed in facial wipes.  The one’s I used left my skin red, congested and irritated.  I needed something easy for my hospital bag and still use them every now and then when I’m travelling or just really feel the need to get my makeup off but I’m just not ready to do my whole cleansing routine.  These are organic and contain rosehip oil, sweet almond oil and aloe vera.  They’re free from alcohol, artificial perfumes, parabens and petrochemicals.  They work really well on makeup and don’t sting your eyes when it comes to removing mascara!

Note: I have not been paid for this post.  These products appear here because I’ve actually tried them and love them.
